Ultrasonic floor material detection uses high-frequency sound waves to identify different types of flooring—such as tile, carpet, concrete, or wood—based on how each material reflects or absorbs sound. This technology is commonly used in robotics, smart appliances, and industrial automation to adapt movement, safety, or cleaning behavior based on the floor surface type.

We provide two ultrasonic sensing solutions to meet different application needs:

This solution emits ultrasonic waves and analyzes the reflected analog signal strength and waveform to distinguish material characteristics.
