The HTW Multi-Feed Detection Sensor is an ultrasonic-based sensing transducer designed to detect when two or more sheets of paper or banknotes are fed simultaneously in high-speed mechanisms such as printers, document scanners, cash recyclers, and counting machines.

Using precision piezoelectric transducers developed by HTW, the sensor emits and receives ultrasonic waves through the media path to measure the acoustic transmission difference between single and multiple sheets. This ensures accurate double-feed detection even for thin, semi-transparent, or colored materials, where optical sensors often fail.
